CAMBRIDGE ROAD

CAMBRIDGESHIRE

This Edwardian House is one of the earlier houses with very large gardens built along the road to Cambridge in the village of Gt. Shelford. The house had undergone a few alterations over the years - particularly to the rear including the addition of a large conservatory. Our clients asked Snell David to look at options to create a large family kitchen dining space, whilst improving the remaining internal layout and adding a further bedroom suite to the first floor.

The preferred option comprised removal of the conservatory and the addition of a full width contemporary extension overlooking a new terrace and the garden. The extra bedroom suite is created by ‘pulling out’ the central gable over the new ground floor extension.
