Snell David were selected by the consortium of private owners of this North Norfolk Country House Hotel specifically because of their experience and expertise in their work on large country houses.

The clients were keen to avoid the corporate approach - which so often results in a bland, characterless place and instead, emphasise the image and aesthetic of the country house. Snell David worked very closely alongside The Design House (Interior Designers) with whom they have worked with on a number of projects to select appropriate ‘classic’ fixtures finishes and furniture.

In addition to the importance of creating the appropriate ambiance and character, Snell David rearranged the layout of the hotel to improve the circulation and ‘flow’. This involved the remodeling and refurbishment of the ground floor which included the entrance hall and reception, the drawing room, a new library / family room, the large dining room and the bar.
