GREENWICH

EAST LONDON

Originally a dwelling, Snell David were introduced to the property when its use as a nursery school had lapsed, the classrooms, noticeboards and rows of small toilets still in place.  The property had fallen into a state of significant disrepair and was in need of attention externally and internally.  The locally listed property was situated in a conservation area and presented a fantastic opportunity to restore the existing building fabric and reconsider the accommodation to develop a modern family dwelling.

Snell David were appointed to explore the redevelopment of the property to provide an enlarged kitchen and entertaining space at ground floor along with a master suite and en suite bedrooms at first floors.  The proposals developed to extend the property at the rear at ground floor with greater connection to the garden and extend to the side on all floors to improve the bedroom accommodation.  The existing stairs were retained along with a number of other internal features which remained after the buildings alteration as a nursery.

The property is now a modern family dwelling, re-wired, re-plumbed and refurbished on all floors, which befits the site and the substantial garden beyond.
