In 2010 Richard and James chose to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the formation of the practice by helping a worthy charity, Malawi Dream, set up by Sonia Waters to help disadvantaged villagers on the island of Likoma on Lake Malawi. Their pressing need was a multi-functional resource centre providing a workshop, clinic and nursery school serving the seven villages on the island. Not only was the practice able to help with the design of the building but, with generous contributions from clients, contractors and other contacts we were able to contribute funds to make the building work possible. Two years later the Resource Centre is complete and provides very welcome employment and a facility available to all the inhabitants of Likoma Island.
