MANOR HOUSE

WILTSHIRE

The practice worked closely with the Council’s Conservation Officer and English Heritage on plans to totally restore, repair and refurbish this very special Grade II Listed Manor House in Wiltshire.

Our clients were based overseas at the time but took an active role in developing ideas to update the property sensitively and with respect to its character and heritage. Consequently the house retains its homely feel, whilst entering the 20th century with new services, extensive underfloor heating, audio visual installations, lighting, new kitchen & bathrooms and improved security.

Local contractors and specialists were engaged to assist with the restoration work lasting just over one year. This included new slate and lead roofs, new & replacement windows, new floors, damp treatment, stone repairs, re-thatching of the dairy, external works and extensive alterations to the servants areas and second floor layout.
