Planning approval has recently been granted to our proposal for a single storey pitched roof extension to a cottage in Cambridgeshire.

 

The building is situated in a conservation area, neighbouring the Grade I listed village Church and the Grade II* Old Rectory. Careful consideration was therefore given to the setting, which is reflected in the proposed form and proportions. The extension sits comfortably within the existing garden, and the new volume enriches the quirky character of the cottage while providing some much needed extra space.
