Last month, we began renovating and extending this 13th century Grade II listed thatched cottage in Melbourn.

The proposed transformation involves demolishing an existing small, low-quality extension and replacing it with a brand-new structure. This innovative extension enhances the historic charm of the cottage, while introducing a spacious entrance hall and modern kitchen/dining spaces on the ground floor and an additional bedroom with an en-suite on the first floor. The thoughtful expansion not only caters to the needs of contemporary family life but also seamlessly integrates with the timeless aesthetic of the traditionally country-looking house, ensuring a more sustainable and up-to-date environment.

Stay tuned as we embark on this journey of preserving heritage while embracing the future.
