THE MOAT HOUSE

KINGSTON, CAMBRIDGESHIRE

This charming grade 2 timber framed Cambridgeshire farmhouse was in need of general refurbishment and upgrading. It clearly had been extended at the turn of the 20th century at one end which included the main entrance and staircase.

 

Snell David were asked to look at review the layout and finalised upon a scheme which reinstated the front door and through hall, added a rear door and removed the various lean-to’s to the rear to allow the family kitchen to be enlarged. In addition a new stairs was added and the attic converted to provide a further bedroom and shower room
