‘The Manor’ is a striking Grade 2 listed, moated manor house set on the edge of a village in rural North Norfolk. Snell David were appointed to fully refurbish the property and design contemporary extensions to create a complete and luxurious country house.
Apart from the task of updating the main house, the further challenge was to negotiate with the local authority planners to allow two new extensions. Both of these are set back from the front façade with their roofs hovering over flint / clunch walls.
The project has won RIBA and Local Authority awards.
